Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 24, 2026
Purpose 417, Inc. (“Purpose 417,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation and IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information collected through purpose417.org (the “Site”).
Information We Collect
- Contact form submissions: your name, email address, reason for contacting us, and any information you choose to include in your message.
- Automatically collected data: when you visit the Site, Google Analytics may collect information about your interaction with the Site, such as pages viewed, browser and device information, approximate geographic location, and referring sources. Google Analytics uses IP addresses during data collection to derive approximate location information but does not log or store individual IP addresses in Google Analytics.
We do not currently collect payment information through the Site.
How We Use Information
- To respond to messages sent through our Contact form.
- To understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Cookies, Analytics & Online Tracking
We use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and processes information on our behalf, subject to Google’s own privacy practices (policies.google.com/privacy). You can manage cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
Some web browsers offer “Do Not Track” or similar privacy signals. Because there is not currently a universally accepted standard for responding to these signals, the Site may not respond to them.
How We Disclose Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose or make information available to service providers that perform services on our behalf, including website hosting, email delivery, and website analytics (including Google Analytics). We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data Retention
Contact form submissions are delivered to us by email rather than stored as form entries in the Site’s database. We retain those communications for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate organizational records, and comply with legal obligations.
Your Choices and Privacy Requests
You may contact us through our Contact page (select “Privacy Request”) to ask about personal information you have provided to us or to request that we correct or delete it. We will review and respond to reasonable requests as appropriate and consistent with applicable law and our legitimate recordkeeping obligations.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information submitted through the Site, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties. Purpose 417 does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices. A link does not necessarily imply endorsement.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Privacy Policy on this page and update the Effective Date above.
